What's on our Happy List? March

*Easter Sunday

I love these European print dresses, as anyone who

knows me well can imagine....Hannah's is

a landscape of Paris (woohoo) and Brie Olivia's of Venice.

The funniest darn thing happened this morning. Well,

funny to us but maybe not so much for my

friend over at adventures of a suburban housewife.

They were entrusted with taking care of their daughter

Hannah's 3rd grade class pet, not only for the weekend

but for the week long Spring Break ahead of us. Well,

the class pet or pets, I should say, are two bunnies,

Chestnut and Thumper. Apparently, Chestnut the

mischievous one, escaped his cage early this morning before

church and could not be found. Just a little bit of drama!

So for several hours this Eater Sunday we had a real live

bunny hopp'in around the neighborhood. How fitting is that?

Crack me up! After a desperate lost pet posting on

on our ward bulletin, Chestnut was found in a neighbor's

backyard..... Much to my friend and her family's relief.

Happy Keester ...oops, I mean Happy Easter!

*The Ward Easter party. I decided to put a twist

on the Easter party this year and hold it at night. We watched

a Easter movie at the church and then we went outside to hunt

for eggs in the dark with flashlights. We had 775 eggs hidden

with a $10 bill inside one special egg.

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way

he/she handles four things: A rainy day, the elderly, lost

luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.....

That will get you to stop and ponder for a moment!

*Hoops Hysteria (NCAA Tournament)

Us and two other families in the neighborhood are taking

part in March Madness. All fifteen of us, drew four or five

teams to watch and cheer on for the next two and half

weeks until the Championship Game. It's been fun for the

older kids to keep track of which team has won or lost and

what member from each family has the odds of going all

the way with their team. Unfortunately, for me all my

teams have lost in the first and second rounds. Bummer!

The one with the winning team April 7th will get the pot

of gold (the luck of the draw was done on St. Patrick's Day)

and we'll all celebrate by going out to dinner together. Here

are the kids that night at our neighbors doing a special

FHE on the Savior for the upcoming Easter holiday.

*My new Camera

My mother-in-law surprised me two weeks ago with a

new camera. How sweet is that?

For the first time on US television, Masterpiece Theatre

has been presenting, on PBS, adaptations of all the Jane

Austen novels and a new biopic of her life.......

Kyleigh and I (and sometimes Emma) these last few

Sunday evenings have been in Jane overload

but we are lov'in it! These are some of my all time

favorite films and to see Kyleigh take a interest in them

too, has been delightful.

*American Idol

The obsession with A.I. continues..... We so look forward to

Tuesday and Wednesday nights around here. Tuesday

nights after the show you can find Kyleigh and I, with

sometimes no less than three phones, voting our hearts

out (like 100 to 150 times) for our hometown boy,

David Archuleta! Check out this website

to see in his guestbook the fans from all over the world that

are cheering him on. WE LOVE YOU DAVID!

*Kite Flying

Watching Brie try to catch the kite was priceless!

*St. Patrick's Day

The girls enjoying their St. Patrick's Day goodies left by

the Leprechaun. Kyleigh especially has loved the IRISH

Riverdance DVD that was left. She has watched it

at least four times and has some of it memorized. She is

nuts about it. I'm taking her next week to observe an

Irish Step Class at the Rinceoiri Don Spraio School of Dance.

She wants to start taking lessons.

The gold left by the Leprechaun was not the

only thing left behind as he tends to leave a

trail of mischief as well. Turned over chairs,

opened drawers and cupboards and clothes

strung in odd places etc. Hannah was relieved

this year that it was Kyleigh's underwear

(clean of course) and not hers hanging from

the kitchen cupboards. LOL

*Cereal Day....I never knew there was

such a thing! I got this e-card from a friend

who knows how much I LOVE cereal. I only

wish I had gotten this greeting earlier in the

day so that I could have served a

smorgasbord of cereal for dinner

(without the guilt). LOL I'll seriously eat any

kind of cereal... although MY breakfast cereal

has to be healthy and nutritious to jump start

my day but I'll have any other kind as a snack

ANYTIME. What's your favorite cereal?



*Emma's Daisy Cafe

Emma loves to play waitress and will often set her cafe up

and serve us dinner, as she did recently.... What a treat!

*The Osmond's 50th Anniversary Show

I've watched parts of the Anniversary show I don't know how

many times. I can't get enough of their music!!!! Sometimes I

think I was born in the wrong era, music wise that is, as some of

my favorite groups ARE the oldies from the 70's.....The Bee Gees,

Abba, Barry Manilow and now the Osmonds. I was never a fan

of the latter until about six months ago when they all appeared

on the Oprah Show. I guess I never realized what a world sensation

they were back in their heyday, as I was, of course, just a babe.

Anyhow, after the Anniversary show this month I am totally hooked

and declare myself a fan. (Jaren says admitting that categorizes me

as an official Molly Mormon.) LOL

I've posted a song, Love Me For A Reason, from back in the early 70's.

It's one of my favorite songs and it's a riot to watch! I'm afraid I

probably would have been one of those crazed fans, as you will see

later on in the clip, (if you can stand to watch it that long) had I been a

teenager back then. (The girls and I bust out laughing every time

we watch it) My almost 52 yr. old sister had a crush on Donny back

then as I'm sure most girls did. The bottom clip are snippets from the

Anniversary Show. Whether you like the Osmonds or not, 50 years

in showbiz is something pretty amazing. And the family is still intact....
