***NO MORE BRACES FOR EMMSIE!
Oh Happy Day...After 2 1/2 years....Emma was able to get her braces off this morning!!! Does she look happy or what? I don't know who was happier, me or her. Now we are down to only one in braces...little Hannah banana. While Emma was getting her braces off, Kyleigh was in for her very last appointment, getting her retainers checked, etc. Our Orthodontist offered to sculpt her upper gums with a 15 minute laser treatment FOR FREE. It would have cost us $500 to have an Endodontist do it. Our Orthodontist rocks! I'll have to post a picture once Kyleigh's gums have healed. They are looking a little fried right now!

***A FEW PRECIOUS BRIE MOMENTS...

eating lunch with her in the car and going with her on her preschool field trip to the Dinosaur Museum. I think she has mixed emotions about that place! She thought it was cool, yet I think the dinosaurs spooked her a little. She lost interest real fast and wanted to go home after being there only about an hour. Unfortunately, she must take after me. Although I did find it somewhat fascinating seeing it for the first time, I am just not a huge museum lover.

However, I do love preschool artwork...she brought home this dinosaur and fossil imprint that she had made this week at school ... so stink'in cute!

***WATCHING BRIE INDULGE ON ONE OF HER FAVORITE FOODS...

Brie is not allowed to eat in HER room...So guess where I found her yesterday watching TV and stuffing her face with a tub of cool whip?......MY room on MY bed! Love it!

***GARAGE DOOR UPDATE...

Finding out that our car insurance company is going to pay for the new garage door..so no out of pocket expense for us...WHAT A RELIEF!

***LATEST NESTING PROJECT...

Getting under the beds cleaned and vacuumed...feels soooo good to have that done!

SPIRIT WEEK at the JR. HIGH
Kyleigh and her cousin, Andrew, threw some cowboy/cowgirl costumes together the last minute and still ended up winning the 8th grade best twinner outfits on "twin day" during spirit week...Too bad you can't see the full body shot with their cowboy boots and all. They looked so stink'in cute! They went as Woody and Jesse but quickly realized that not everyone at school knows they are cousins so they were getting questioned if they were boyfriend and girlfriend. EWWWWW! That freaked them out pretty bad! Hahaha
These snicker candy bar cookies that Grandma and Emma made...Oh so yummy! I love being their taste tester and frequent recipient of their love for cooking and baking. A prego woman's dream... Kyleigh's Honors English altered book Project...the inside pages are as awesome as this front cover...time consuming..yes..produced a late night finishing it up but well worth it.

What's On My Happy List?

WARNING: Look out for a sleep deprived, brain cell losing, in a rush, pregnant woman who absentmindedly backs out into descending garage doors. Yep, that would be me that caused $1300 damage to the garage door last week. What a mess people! My little mishap prevented us from leaving on a little get away family trip to Zermatt which resulted in very disappointed and unhappy kids. Especially since we had planned this Zermatt trip to help ease the pain of not being in Disneyland this week, which is traditionally the week we take our annual Disney trip. Almost everyone in Jaren's family had unexpected circumstances arise in the past few months and weeks that caused us to have to postpone the trip until November. Even though initially it was a disappointment, we realized I really wasn't in a position... with my current physical state... to fully enjoy the trip HAD we gone. The thought of all the walking in the park, causing extra swelling in my legs and pressure in my back, along with sleeping without my mattress at night. Oh my...It wouldn't have bode well I'm afraid.

Although, on second thought, I may have wished I was in Disney the morning of last Wednesday so I wouldn't have had my driving catastrophe. LOL Kudos to my sensitive husband who calmly dealt with the news and a distraught wife. Who came home from work mid-day to deal with the situation. Who asked several times throughout the day if I was okay. And who manned the &#*@^ home phone so that I could try and take a much needed, uninterrupted afternoon nap. It is HE, and not my driving skills, that makes my Happy List!

*Dad still taking Friday off and we all going out to lunch and to the movies...

*Kyleigh being awarded a "Hillcrest Hero" at her Jr. High...

*Season 9 Premiere of American Idol

*Emma's breakfast surprise for me...these scrumptious crepes she and Grandma made together...

*Working on getting the kids scrapbooks and photos more organized...ya gotta love nesting!

Making cards...I got to make these stink'in cute "winter" cards with some friends today...I luv working with coordinating paper, stamps, ribbon, glue, glitter and bling...just the perfect remedy to brighten the winter blah's...

Winter Break Happy List!

*New Year's bubbly... sadly, one of the very few things I like about New Year's... My least favorite holiday...not sure I can even put into words as to why that is... especially with me being such a holiday lover.

*doctors appointment. Glucose test done. Sugars normal. Blood pressure normal. No protein in urine. Things look GOOD...just low in Iron and terrible swelling continues... Induction day set..March 11th! Only 9 1/2 weeks to go...

*getting all of Christmas down and put back in storage...MAJOR PRODUCTON!

*New Year's Eve Chinese dinner with Cooper's. Chocolate fondue after..YUM. Par-taay at my sisters to ring in the new year....

*taking the girls to see Princess and the Frog on New Year's Day...

*nesting continues...doing some major de-cluttering and reorganizing...results in new closet for Hannah & Brie...
